Riviera is powering into 2011 with the launch of an exciting new model and plans to exit receivership.
Riviera CEO John Anderson said 2010 was a positive year of recovery for the company with 116 boats sold both in Australia and around the globe.
“We launched a recruitment drive and restructured our production lines to a continuous flow line so we could ramp up production to meet rising demand for our new models,” Mr Anderson said.
“Our 43 Open Flybridge was a huge success with 25 boats sold since its release at the Sanctuary Cove Boat Show and we look forward to releasing our new 53 Flybridge in May 2011. We anticipate the new 53 will be another successful model as Riviera has already received 12 forward deposits for this new boat.
“Retail orders are flowing into our 2011 production schedule and we now have a good forward order bank. We have four of our new 61 Series II Flybridges under construction and we have just joined the hull and deck of our sixth 70 Flybridge which is bound for Spain in late 2011. So we are certainly in a strong position to maximise the opportunities for growth and development.
“Our average weekly run rate of new boat sales is more than two boats per week and in 2010 we sold 116 new Riviera’s around the world - a remarkable achievement given the prevailing market conditions.”
In the last quarter of 2010, Riviera experienced a positive rise in new boat sales in both the Europe and the United States markets.
In the first quarter, Riviera will launch into the boat show season with the boot Dusseldorf Boat Show in Germany, the Melbourne International Boat and Lifestyle Festival in Victoria, Australia, the Istanbul Boat Show in Turkey, the Dubai Boat Show, the Abu Dhabi Boat Show, and several boat shows for the Americas including, the New England Boat Show in Boston, the Vancouver International Boat Show, Canada, and the Miami International Boat Show in Florida, USA.
