Riviera Syndication News

Hamilton Island, QLD: As they pointed Marbella’s bow north towards the Coral Sea and tropical Queensland’s Whitsunday Islands, John and Sharon Russell from Riviera Syndication let out a sigh of relief.

The founders of Riviera Syndication took time out over the festive season to enjoy one of their favorite past-times, boating with family and friends.

For more than 13 years, the couple has ensured their Syndication families enjoyed the simple pleasures of recreational boating through their unique boat syndication program.  This time it was John and Sharon’s turn at the helm of their newest addition to their fleet of Syndication boats.

Marbella is a luxurious 5800 Sport Yacht equipped with the latest navigation systems, centre console tender and everything to make a holiday onboard a breeze.

John said after promoting the Syndication lifestyle on a daily basis, it was a great feeling to be able to plan a holiday on board for them and their family.

“After one of the busiest years we have experienced in business, we were really looking forward to living the Riviera lifestyle ourselves with family and friends for an unprecedented two weeks onboard our new syndicated Riviera 5800 Sport Yacht Marbella from Hamilton Island,” he said.

“Fortunately, Marbella is a 10 berth boat as we had no problem convincing four of our six kids and their partners to join us for the first week cruising the Whitsundays and then New Year’s Eve on Hamilton Island.

“A large part of these family holidays is the planning and anticipation and by the time we arrived at Brisbane airport, everybody was excited and ready.  After a quick flight it was onto the fully prepared boat, a trip to the village for supplies and then we headed out.

“Everyone aboard had the time of their lives.  From swimming and snorkeling to exploring the many walking tracks around the Whitsundays and taking a leisurely paddle in the kayaks.  It gave everybody the chance to recharge and look forward to the next opportunity to do it all again.”

After an action packed first week with the children on board, John and Sharon were ready to wind down.  As they said goodbye to the kids, they welcomed old friends aboard for week two of their holiday.

“Once our friends were aboard, the pace slowed down significantly.  We were ready for a little more quiet time and we were in total relaxation mode by this time,” John said.

“It was very enjoyable going out for two or three nights and then returning Hamilton Island for a restaurant meal, gym, a game of golf and then cast off again.  It is hard to imagine a better and more relaxing holiday afloat and it supports all of our local industries in a boater’s paradise.

“After such a relaxing and invigorating time aboard we returned to work for 2012 revitalized and full of new ideas.  With positive energy and exciting new challenges, it will not be long before we are planning our next holiday on board one of our beautiful new Rivieras.”
