Best Boat Name Competition

BOAT NAME COMPETITION WINNER!

Congratulations to Murray and Diana Bishell from New Zealand for their entry ‘Imagine’. Murray and Diana said, “We purchased our Riviera 47G2 last year after our last boat was destroyed in a fire in our marina. We never imagined that we would own such a wonderful boat, but we said that we didn’t want to look back but forward, so we named our boat Imagine.”

Want to enter your boat?

R Experience is pleased to announce a new competition for Riviera owners - the Best Boat Name Competition, which is aimed at encouraging Riviera owners to submit photos of their boat and transom displaying their boat name along with a short explanation of how the name came about for a chance to win some fantastic prizes.

In the last issue of R Experience we had some interesting entries including Rickdiculous, sent in by Rick Windbigler frome Oceanside, San Diego. Rick said he wanted a unique name for his Riviera 40. “I said to one of my buddies ‘this boat is ridiculously nice’, the name stuck and now I’m the proud owner of the only boat named Rickdiculous.”

This is just one example of an interesting boat name and story behind it.

If you would like to share your boat name and its origins with R Experience for the chance to win a Riviera gift; send a photo of the transom with brief explanation to rthacker@riviera.com.au or post to Riviera, 50 Waterway Drive, Coomera, QLD 4209, Australia.
