R Marine South Australia launches the new Riviera Owners Club.

R Marine South Australia celebrated the launch of the new Riviera Owners Club and the start of the 2011-2012 boating season with more than 100 guests at their Holdfast Shores dealership earlier this month.

Riviera Owners Club of SA inaugural president Rod Rebbeck said the launch of the club was extremely well received with 17 boat owners joining on the night.

“The club is a ‘social’ arm of R Marine SA and was established purely to allow members to get together and enjoy their boats,” Rod said.

Each Riviera Owners Club member receives two club caps/visors, a club burgee and a club decal for their boat with their annual membership of $50.

“What a fantastic night we had.  A big thank you to Neil McCabe and Peter Welch from Riviera who presented concepts of an upcoming new model and were on hand to answer any questions from our guests,” Rod said.

“We were pleased to have Colin Woodfield from Raymarine Electronics on hand to speak to our owners and we really appreciate how committed Club Marine is to the success of the club.

“Glenn Frettingham from Twin Disc had people intrigued with his ‘mini’ model of the Seakeeper Gyro stabiliser system and Paul Harrop on behalf of R Marine South Australia confirmed the details for next year’s Riviera Easter Experience to Kangaroo Island.”
