The Inaugural Riviera Festival and Boat Show

Coomera, Queensland: The official website for the Riviera Festival is now live with a raft of information about the Festival’s 71 educational and social events just a click away at www.riviera.com.au/festival.

The inaugural Riviera Festival and Boat Show is one of the most ambitious endeavours for Australia’s largest and most awarded luxury boat builder.

Held over four days from May 24 to 27, the Riviera Festival and Boat Show will be held over the same dates and will entice boating enthusiasts to explore a range of interactive displays, exclusive educational and social events for Riviera owners, factory tours, and a Premium Brokerage Showcase displaying a wide range of selected pre-loved Riviera models.

Riviera’s director of brand and sales Stephen Milne said Riviera owners from across the globe could log on to the website to register and book their educational and social events held over the four days.

“Almost 5,000 Riviera owners from all over the world will be invited to participate in the Festival which will celebrate Riviera’s rich history, the global Riviera family of boat owners and the joys of boating and now the return to private ownership of the company,” Mr Milne said.

“Already several hundred owners have registered in the first two weeks of the site being live for the educational seminars, hands-on workshops, fun, social and vibrant activities.

“For those new to boating or wishing to brush up on their skills and practical knowledge, we will offer separate women’s and men’s skipper training programs that will include mooring, fenders, lines and anchoring techniques.  Other hands-on courses will include electronic navigation, generator set and sanitation system in-field trouble shooting, fishing clinics, offshore seamanship, exterior maintenance ‘tricks of the trade’ and a full sea trial program.

“Each of The Riviera Festival specialist programs will be conducted by our Riviera experts who love sharing their immense knowledge and passion for the greater enjoyment of boating.

“People can learn how to navigate, meet our designers and the talented craftspeople that build our beautiful boats, take a factory tour, and enjoy a raft of fun events such as, wine trail tours, a golf classic, and gala dinner organised exclusively for our owners.”

The Riviera Boat Show will proudly display all of the company’s newest and most popular models including the world-release of the new Riviera 75 Enclosed Flybridge, new 53 Enclosed Flybridge, new 43 Open Flybridge, 5800 Sport Yacht and 5000 Sport Yacht to name but a few.

“The event is gaining further momentum with key sponsors and partners coming on board including Cummins, Raymarine, Onan, Twin Disc, Aurora Yacht Logistics and Simrad who will all have interactive displays on the waterfront.”

There will be a range of informative displays from Riviera partners including an extensive display from R Electronics featuring the latest in marine electronics and navigation, an Aftermarket and Service display providing tips and advice on maintaining or restoring your vessel, an R Style exhibit where Riviera’s interior consultant Vivienne Sales will give you some expert tips on choosing co-ordinating soft furnishings for your vessel, and the team from Riviera Syndication will showcase one of their newest luxury sport yachts and explain the benefits of owning a boat through syndication.

“Reaction to the Festival and Boat Show has created great interest and we are expecting quite a crowd over the four day event which could potentially have thousands of Riviera owners from around the globe uniting here at Riviera’s Gold Coast headquarters for what will be a memorable experience,” Mr Milne said.

“One of the many highlights of the show will be the unveiling of Riviera’s new flagship model, the 75 Enclosed Flybridge as she makes her world debut on day one of the show.

“We will also announce details of our brand new flybridge model at The Festival and Boat Show that will be launched earlier in 2013.  We will be providing a full 3D walk through of this exciting new under 50’ model by our concept design manager Neil McCabe.

“This will allow Festival attendees to be the first to see and secure their next new Riviera.

“We have never built a Flybridge like this before, it’s innovative design, the latest technology in pod drive propulsion, digital switching, LED lighting and so much more, will make this a much sought after new model.”

To experience Australia’s favourite luxury boat brand, come and see them all at the Riviera Boat Show held from May 24 to 27 at Riviera’s state-of-the-art Coomera facility located at 50 Waterway Drive, Coomera.

Riviera's New 75 Enclosed Flybridge Makes Her World Debut at the Riviera Boat Show in May

Riviera’s newest flagship model, the 75 Enclosed Flybridge will make her world debut at the Riviera Festival and Boat Show where Australia’s largest and most awarded boat builder will display an impressive line-up of new boats valued at AUD$15 million.

Coomera, Queensland: Riviera’s newest flagship model, the 75 Enclosed Flybridge will make her world debut at the Riviera Festival and Boat Show where Australia’s largest and most awarded boat builder will display an impressive line-up of new boats valued at AUD$15 million.

In a first for the company, Riviera will host its very own Festival and Boat Show over four days from May 24 to 27 at Riviera’s world-class manufacturing facility at Coomera.  There will be a range of interactive displays, exclusive educational and social events for Riviera owners, factory tours, and a Premium Brokerage Showcase featuring a wide range of selected pre-loved Riviera models.

Riviera’s director of brand and sales Stephen Milne said the inaugural Riviera Festival and Boat Show was one of the company’s most ambitious endeavours in its 32 year history.

“We are proud to have all of our newest and most popular models on display at the boat show including the world-release of our new 75 Enclosed Flybridge, new 53 Enclosed Flybridge, new 43 Open Flybridge, 5800 Sport Yacht and 5000 Sport Yacht to name but a few,” Mr Milne said.

“The event is gaining further momentum with key sponsors and partners coming on board including Cummins, Raymarine, Onan, Twin Disc, Aurora Global Logistics, and Simrad who will all have interactive displays on the waterfront.”

There will be a range of interactive and informative displays from Riviera partners including an extensive display from R Electronics featuring the latest in marine electronics and navigation, an Aftermarket and Service display providing tips and advice on maintaining or restoring your vessel, an R Style exhibit where Riviera’s interior consultant Vivienne Sales will give you some expert tips on choosing co-ordinating soft furnishings for your vessel, and the team from Riviera Syndication  will showcase one of their newest luxury sport yachts and explain the benefits of owning a boat through syndication.

“Reaction to the Festival and Boat Show has created great interest and we are expecting quite a crowd over the four day event which could potentially have thousands of Riviera owners from around the globe uniting here at Riviera’s Gold Coast headquarters for what will be a memorable experience,” he said.

“One of the many highlights of the show will be the unveiling of Riviera’s new flagship model, the 75 Enclosed Flybridge as she makes her world debut on day one of the show.”

The new 75 was built for a New Zealand owner who wants to undertake extensive cruising and game fishing expeditions.

The 75 features a larger cockpit and flybridge than the 70 Enclosed Flybridge, making it Riviera’s new flagship model and the largest semi-production flybridge boat built in Australia.

Riviera’s large boat program project manager Paul Wrench said the 75’s larger sized cockpit would be excellent for both sport fishing and entertaining.

“There is sleeping accommodation for up to 12 in four separate cabins each with their own ensuite, an aft galley which is centrally located between the cockpit and saloon which opens to the mezzanine alfresco dining area through a large awning window and stainless steel and glass door.  The aft galley positioning can also easily serve the flybridge,” he said.

“This new design will be a winner for Riviera as it features even more entertaining space and is ideally suited for long range cruising.

“The beauty of this vessel is that it is a self-contained luxury home that can take you anywhere in the world, as it has its own fresh water maker system and twin generator sets to supply all the power needed to live aboard in absolute luxury.”

Riviera’s new product development design engineer Alan Dowd said the new 75 was built entirely in-house at the company’s Coomera, Queensland facility.

“The new 75 is an evolution of our relentless innovation and we are always striving to design and build better boats with each new model we create,” Alan said.

Stepping up from the expansive cockpit measuring 5.530m beam x 3.3m, the Riviera 75 features a mezzanine alfresco dining area located in the protection of the flybridge aft deck.  As you move through the glass and stainless steel door with huge opening window there is an aft u-shape galley to port and a straight-line internal staircase on the starboard side leading to the enclosed flybridge.

The galley is equipped with a four-burner electric induction cooktop, two refrigerator units with two drawers each and a two-drawer freezer unit. There is also an under-bench dishwasher.  To the starboard side a wet bar area that houses a lift up glass storage, ice-maker and a further two drawer refrigeration units.

Just one step up from the galley is the L-shaped lounge which can comfortably seat eight and to starboard is the dining area, with seating for eight around a timber free-standing table.  Forward of the dining area on the starboard side is a utility room equipped with separate washing machine and dryer and a multi-zone temperature-controlled wine cooler.

Forward and down the wide companionway, the accommodation includes four cabins with the master stateroom aft beneath the saloon. The stateroom runs the full beam of the boat amidships, with fixed portholes on either side. A king-size double bed is flanked by bedside tables. His and hers walk-in wardrobes are built in on both sides of the stateroom. The ensuite features quality quartz tile flooring and a marble/quartz benchtop with porcelain bowl. A separate shower stall has a frameless glass door and a teak seat. An opening porthole is recessed into the hull to allow light and fresh air into the ensuite bathroom.

The forward accommodation on this first 75 includes a triple cabin to port, a triple cabin to starboard and a forward cabin featuring a Queen-size island berth.  However, the accommodation layout can be changed to suit, for instance the forward cabin can include four tournament bunks in lieu of the Queen-size island berth or split into two double bunk cabins.  The port cabin can be customised as a study.

Seating in the fully enclosed flybridge includes a central helm chair with two companion chairs (one either side) and a large L-shaped lounge to port with table facing a wet bar/small galley and entertainment unit. A large external viewing platform aft has seating for up to three people with a rear helm on the starboard side.

The 75 is fully air conditioned throughout, including separate units for the flybridge, saloon, dining area, galley, all cabins and bathrooms.

To experience these amazing world-class boats, come and see them at the Riviera Boat Show held from May 24 to 27 at Riviera’s state-of-the-art Coomera facility located at 50 Waterway Drive, Coomera.
