Alison Van der Poel, Riviera 45 Open Flybridge, “Sweet Surrender”
“The first time I stepped onboard the 45’ Open Flybridge, I was besotted. I just wanted one! What impressed me, apart from the beautiful style of boat, was the practical and efficient layout, an efficient, workable galley at window level, the dishwasher, fridges and a washing machine! The larger showers were a definite advantage as was the moulded staircase to the flybridge.” “I love getting away on the boat to have a break away from the usual day to day routine. My husband Peter and our ‘children’, three year old Westies, Lucy and Harley, use the boat as often as the weather and our commitments allow. We stay out for four to six days at a time.” “We are never bored on the boat. It’s as fun or as relaxing as you want it to be. We go for walks along the beach, swim, or I can really get stuck into that novel, or test my brain on a crossword or just marvel at the sunset, dolphins, birds and whales. I rarely get to enjoy such selfish activities at home because there always seem to be something ‘more important’ to do.” Every Riviera owner has a special and unique story.
