Success For Riviera At Global Boat Shows

Riviera has reported a healthy start to the Boat Show season following recent boat shows around the world, including Melbourne International Boating and Lifestyle Show and the Miami, Mumbai, Dubai and Auckland International Boat Shows.

The season began in Melbourne where Stuart Jackson, Dealer Principal at R Marine Jacksons VIC, confirmed sales as well as a number of strong opportunities following the show.

“We had strong enquiry on Riviera’s Sport Yachts, particularly the new 3600 with Volvo Penta IPS propulsion,” he said. “There are also many eager for the launch of the new 5800 Sport Yacht in May. Interest in Flybridge models stretch from the 33 through to the 56 Enclosed Flybridge.”

Riviera Syndication also reported success at the show. According to CEO John Russell, “we had strong response to our 4700 Sport Yacht on the Gold Coast as well as our plans for a boat in Melbourne.”

Riviera and R Marine dominated the Melbourne Show with 12 boats on display covering about 17 per cent of the entire show area.

At Miami, Riviera recorded sales across the line - large and small Flybridge models, Offshore Express and Sport Yachts.

The following weekend saw Riviera’s new Dealership in India display at the Mumbai International Boat Show, gaining interest in a range of the company’s models, particularly the new 5800 Sport Yacht that will be launched in May as well as the 48 Offshore Express. Riviera’s first delivery to India was a 48 Offshore Express late last year.

Riviera Dealers representing the company at the Dubai and Auckland Shows also reported sales and healthy enquiry.

R Marine New Zealand’s Bruce McGill said Riviera displayed eight boats at the Auckland Show, the largest on the water.

“We were pleased with the number of people visiting the display. We had the opportunity to spend time with many genuine buyers,” said Bruce.

Tim Sayer, Riviera’s Director of Global Sales and Marketing, said: “We received an encouraging level of enquiry for our entire range at these two important international shows which is very encouraging.”

Tim said the shows are a valuable indicator for the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show in May.

“We demonstrated that, if you have quality boats on display, people are eager to purchase.

“We will have a full line display at Sanctuary Cove,” he said. “The team at Riviera is very excited about the launch of the new Riviera 5800 Sport Yacht at that show.”
