Bright future for R Electronics

Marine electronics and navigation guru, Errol Cain has supervised the installation of marine electronic systems into thousands of luxury cruisers in his 21 years experience, this month he talks about new state-of-the-art Lumitec LED lighting.

R Electronics is illuminating its way to a bright future as the South Pacific's sole importer and distributor of Lumitec LED lighting.

R Electronics managing director Errol Cain said he hadn't seen anything like it in his 21 years experience in the marine industry.

Errol has supervised the installation of marine electronic systems into thousands of luxury cruisers and said Lumitec LED lighting was the way of the future.

"I haven't been this excited about a product in a long time," he said.

"Lumitec LED lighting is a unique product featuring a spectacular range of internal, external and underwater energy efficient lights, with its power consumption less than a tenth of halogen lights.

"Boat owners can choose from almost 500 configurations with Lumitec's diverse range of products including seven colour options, four light output choices and 22 models.

"I believe the future of lighting is very exciting and now we will be at the forefront of marine lighting in the South Pacific."

Lumitec is based in Florida in the USA and is the brain-child of John Kujawa, an engineer with 20 years experience in the marine industry.

"Obviously quality and value are paramount but where we really saw the opportunity to differentiate Lumitec was in offering a bow-to-stern lighting solution with a cohesive look and feel," said Mr Kujawa.

"Our LED fixtures enable an engineer or designer to select a look, or ‘theme' that complements the overall style of the vessel and within each theme; they can select individual luminaires which meet the lighting needs of a specific onboard location."

The first shipment of Lumitec LED lights arrived in Australia this week, and will make their debut at the Sydney International Boat Show starting on July 30.

"I am impressed with the features which include the ‘Maxillume' LED flood/spot light which is the brightest but consumes only 1.8amps at 24vdc (volts direct current) and is constructed from solid billet marine grade alloy," said Errol.

"The Lumitec saloon and cabin lights are comparable to halogen in a warm white and consuming just one tenth of the battery power. They are available in single, dual, triple or quad colour output with the push of a switch.

"R Electronics is thrilled to be the sole importer and distributor of Lumitec LED lighting and we are looking for dealers interested in distributing this new lighting concept throughout Australia."

Lumitec lighting is far superior than any other marine light as shown in this comparison.
