Experiencing Australia’s seafood capital

The team from R Marine Adelaide recently hosted a convoy of luxury boat owners on a voyage to Port Lincoln on South Australia's stunningly beautiful west coast. The owners and their guests took in the sights in and around the seafood capital of Australia, and enjoyed the festivities of the Port Lincoln Cup.

The Easter Experience kicked off with a welcome barbecue dinner at the home of Riviera owner Peter Teakle, overlooking Port Lincoln Marina.

Brilliant sunshine and stunning blue water provided the perfect backdrop for the flotilla setting out on Good Friday.

Everyone then embarked on three days of cruising around the many sheltered bays and islands out from Port Lincoln.

The first overnight stay was at Spalding Cove, following a mid-afternoon raft-up for drinks and nibbles. Saturday saw the boats head to Reevesby Island Lagoon for a barbecue lunch and overnight stay.

Some owners chose to stay at the lagoon for the final night while others went on a fishing trip and anchored at Thistle Island.

According to R Marine Adelaide Dealer principal Andrew Craddock, "The trip to Port Lincoln showcased the truly wonderful boating and fishing opportunities on offer, not to mention the stunning scenery. It certainly has whet the appetite of many in the group, keen to visit this beautiful area again."
