Riviera drives Europe market with a $14 million export shipment

Riviera recently completed a significant overseas shipment of 11 boats valued at more than $14 million.

The boats — ranging from a 33 Open Flybridge to three 56 Open Flybridge models — were lifted on board the giant cargo ship Cap Mondego in Brisbane, close to Riviera's headquarters on Queensland's Gold Coast.

Most of the shipment is for clients in Europe, with a 4700 Sport Yacht, bound for the United States, unloading in Savannah, Georgia.

The 33 Open Flybridge is bound for Belgium, while the remainder will be unloaded in ports on the Mediterranean, including the three 56 Open Flybridge models — one headed for the company's dealer at Barcelona in Spain, one to France, and one to Italy.

Other models in the shipment include two 45 Open Flybridge models with moulded staircase, a new 48 Offshore Express, a 4400 Sport Yacht with Volvo IPS propulsion, a 47 Series II Enclosed Flybridge, and 51 Flybridge.

David Taylor, Riviera's Director Sales & Marketing for Europe operations, said, "We have worked very hard with our dealers throughout Europe and their support has been strong. I am pleased with the acceptance of our entire range, from Flybridge to Sport Yachts and the new Offshore Express models."
