The results are in from around the world of Riviera – from Genoa in Italy, from Fort Lauderdale in the United States, from Barcelona in Spain and, locally from the Summer Showcases at R Marine Dealers around Australia and New Zealand.
At Fort Lauderdale in Florida, the company outsold all its competitors at one of the world’s largest international boat shows with eight boat sales contracted during the show and a further five in the weeks that followed.
The company’s European dealers at both Genoa and Barcelona have reported sound interest with six boats sold and strong follow-up
R Marine Dealers across Australia and New Zealand reported a “resounding success” following the recent R Marine Summer Showcase boat shows.
Sales were recorded across Riviera’s Flybridge and Sport Yacht lines as well as Princess motor yachts while enquiry was strong for the range of classic Grand Banks long-range cruisers.
Hundreds of boating enthusiasts visited every location – from Whangarei in northern New Zealand to Fremantle in Western Australia.
Les Galbraith, Managing Director of the R Marine network, said all Dealers reported strong interest in boat buying among visitors.
“Particular focus was on our new models including the 61 Enclosed Flybridge and 43 Offshore Express as well as our Sport Yacht line,” he said. “The pre-owned market continues to be strong.
“Our Dealers and our clients all reported that they enjoyed the more relaxed atmosphere of the Summer Showcase – with more time and smaller crowds than we see at traditional boat shows.
“While there is no doubt the market is softer than a year ago, it remains healthy for boats that fit the market.
“Riviera’s brand reputation along with the R Marine 24/7 support network is a powerful assurance in this market.”
Riviera Syndication was represented both on Queensland’s Gold Coast and in Fremantle. John Russell reported strong results from both sides of the country.
“We have a Riviera 4400 Sport Yacht arriving in Western Australia in December. Now there is strong interest in a Riviera Flybridge model as well,” he said. “Interest in our 4700 and 4400 Sport Yachts remains strong on the east coast.”
A particular success was the Lady Skippers program run at most locations through the weekend. Open exclusively to female members of R Marine’s BlueWater Club, the program helps women to learn better boat handling and safety techniques.
