Strong support for Riviera at Sydney International Boat Show

Riviera reported strong support through the Sydney International Boat Show over six days at the beginning of August.

With a total of 25 boats sold through the six days of the show, CEO John Anderson said the company had achieved sales across its entire range of Open and Enclosed Flybridge, Offshore Express and Sport Yacht models.

“When combined with the fantastic results at the Sanctuary Cove Show, the value of sales for the two shows exceeded $73 million” he said. “While this figure is slightly down on last year’s result, it is a remarkable performance given the uncertain economic conditions.

“The result has proven the strength of the Riviera brand and our unique R Marine national retail network,” said John.

“I believe we performed well because people feel they can trust Riviera's 28-year strong brand position, our 24/7 support and service. For many Riviera owners, boating is an important part of their lifestyle.

“Our new models gained strong interest,” he said. “Interest in our new flagship 70 was intense (the star of the show according at least one leading boating journalist) and we are undertaking sea trials with a number of clients. The company had orders for five of these magnificent new boats even before the first was launched.”

Mr Anderson said that interest in all new models, from the new 43 Offshore Express with IPS propulsion through the 38 Open Flybridge, 61 Enclosed Flybridge, the 51 Series II to the 41 re-styled accommodation model, was strong and encouraging in the lead-up to summer.
